This Privacy Policy explains what information APKSwarm.com collects when you visit the site, how that information is used, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain language on purpose. APKSwarm is a small publication about gaming hardware and emulation; we are not in the business of collecting personal data, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.

Information we collect

Information you give us directly

If you email us or use the contact form, we receive your email address, your name if you provide it, and the contents of your message — which often includes device details you chose to share for troubleshooting. We use this solely to respond to you and, where relevant, to improve our guides. Support correspondence is retained only as long as it is useful for that purpose.

Information collected automatically

Like nearly every website, our servers record standard log information when your browser requests a page: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you visited, the time and date of your visit, and the referring page. These logs are used to diagnose errors, understand which guides are useful, and protect the site against abuse. They are not used to build advertising profiles by us.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate readership — which articles are read, roughly where in the world readers are, and what devices they use — so we can decide what to test and write about next. Analytics data is aggregated. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine it with data from other sources to build personal profiles.

Children’s privacy

APKSwarm is written for an adult audience of hardware enthusiasts and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Data retention and security

Server logs are rotated and deleted on a rolling basis. Contact emails are kept while they remain relevant to an open question or guide correction, then deleted. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures — encrypted connections, access controls, and keeping the software we control up to date — but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data processors and international transfers

We use a small number of reputable providers to host the site, measure readership, and serve advertising. Those providers process the limited data described above on our behalf and under their own published privacy commitments. Because our infrastructure and our readers are in different countries, information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions other than your own, where data-protection law may differ; by using the site you understand that this is a normal consequence of how the web works. We review our provider list periodically and remove services we no longer need.
