Legal notice

APKSwarm.com is an independent gaming technology review and controller troubleshooting resource. All brand names, hardware trademarks, and logos belong to their respective owners (Backbone, Razer, Anbernic, Retroid). APKSwarm strictly advocates for legal emulation and does NOT host, link to, or distribute copyrighted ROMs, game ISOs, or BIOS files.

Accuracy disclaimer

We test what we publish, but emulation and mobile hardware change constantly. Emulator developers ship updates that rename settings, change default backends, and fix — or introduce — performance problems. Handheld makers revise firmware, and occasionally hardware, without announcement. Benchmark figures, latency measurements, and recommended settings on APKSwarm reflect the devices, firmware builds, and emulator versions named in each article at the time of testing. Your results may differ, sometimes significantly, because of chip binning, thermal environment, storage speed, and the specific revision of hardware in your hands.

If a guide appears out of date, that is a flaw we want to fix: contact us with the version numbers involved and we will re-test and update or annotate the page. We do not knowingly publish settings we have not run, download links to software outside its official distribution channels, or specifications we have invented. Where a figure comes from a manufacturer’s documentation rather than our own measurement, the article says so.

Not professional advice

Content here is educational. Nothing on APKSwarm constitutes professional engineering, electrical-safety, or purchasing advice for your specific situation. Procedures that involve opening hardware, replacing batteries, or modifying firmware carry risks — including voided warranties and, with lithium batteries, genuine physical danger — and should only be attempted by people confident they understand them. When in doubt, use the manufacturer’s service channel.

Advertising and commercial relationships

Honesty about money: APKSwarm is funded by advertising, principally through Google AdSense, and some outbound retailer links may be affiliate links that earn us a small commission at no additional cost to you. Neither arrangement buys coverage. Products are selected for testing because readers use them; verdicts are based on measured results; and where a manufacturer provided a review unit, that fact is disclosed in the review itself. Sponsored content, if ever published, will be labelled as sponsored in the headline area of the article, not in fine print.

DMCA and copyright takedown procedure

APKSwarm respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent laws. We do not host game ROMs, ISOs, BIOS files, or pirated software, and we work to ensure our own material — written, photographed, and measured in-house — infringes nothing.

If you believe content on APKSwarm infringes your copyright, send a notice to contact@apkswarm.com with “DMCA” in the subject line. To be actionable, your notice must include:

  1. Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  3. The exact URL(s) of the material on APKSwarm you claim is infringing, so we can locate it.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Complete notices are reviewed promptly and infringing material is removed or access disabled. If your content was removed due to a notice you believe was mistaken, you may send a counter-notice containing your contact details, identification of the removed material and its former location, a consent-to-jurisdiction statement, and your signature; we will handle it in accordance with the DMCA process. Repeat infringers, where applicable, are barred from our community channels.

Trademark owners with concerns about how a mark is used on the site — nominative fair use to identify products under review is our intent — are equally welcome to write to the same address, and factual corrections are always made quickly.
